THE simply truth is that the University of Lagos (unilag) is one of the most sought after schools for the 2017/2018 academic session and all candidates who applied for admission into the tertiary institution should take note of the following important details/notes of the following:
1: All Parents, guardians and aspirants of the University of Lagos (unilag) should take note that of the 31, 955 candidates who scored 200 and above in the 2017/2018 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board Unified Tertiary Examinations (UTME) and made the institution their most preferred (first choice) institution, 26,732 candidates registered for the UTME screening exercise for admissions into University of Lagos for the 2017/18 session.
2: Just in case you’re not aware, the academic institution screening exercise was carried out
from Wednesday, the 12th of August to Friday, the 14th of August, 2015.
3: A total of 17,935 candidates passed the screening exercise with a minimum score of 40%. While a total number of Three hundred and nine (309) candidates did not show up for the screening exercise,

4: While a total number of 118 candidates were disqualified for failure to follow the instructions for the Computer Based Test (CBT).
5: The school administration also disclosed that a total number of 393 results were initially withheld on suspicion of malpractices. But on further investigation, out of the 292 results which were withheld, 271 have been confirmed as cases involving malpractices and continue to be withheld for further investigation.
While the remaining 122 results have been released and sent to affected candidates.
6: All candidates who sat for the screening exercise should take note that the Unilag post UTME cut off marks for admissions into the various programmes offered by the University have since been released on the University website.
We would love to advice all candidates who sat for the screening exercise to visit the University website www.unilag.edu.ng for the cut off marks and individual scores.
7: Please take note that the University of Lagos does not require any additional payments in respect of admission into the school. Also be aware that any form of request made by anyone for payment for assistance for admission is fraudulent.
For emphasis, ALL CANDIDATES WHO SAT FOR THE SCREENING ARE ADVISED NOT TO MAKE ANY PAYMENT TO ANYONE FOR ANY PURPOSE RELATED TO ADMISSIONS.
8: However, the school management has warned that anyone who is discovered and found to be involved in any form of solicitation, giving or receiving money or benefit of any kind with respect to facilitating admissions into the University of Lagos will be reported to the appropriate law enforcement agent and sued with all powers of the tertiary institution.
Additionally, all candidates who is discovered to have offered or given money or benefit in kind for admission into the University will be disqualified from getting admitted into the school for the 2017/2018 academic session.
